Launch Team has partnered with the REVEL Race Series and the Portland Marathon to offer half marathon training programs and a free half marathon race entry to youth 18 and under. There are currently three training seasons/locations in Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, and Portland, OR.
Hooray! After a great race in Big Cottonwood our next adventure will take us to Las Vegas for Revel's Mt Charleston half marathon on Saturday, April 2, 2022. There will be training groups in Salt Lake City, UT and Las Vegas, NV. Our team from Utah will travel to join our Las Vegas family for the race. Let's get ready to toe that starting line. Training begins the week of Jan 10, 2022!
All participants in the Mt Charleston Half Marathon training program will receive a Launch Team shirt, a fully supported half marathon training program led by RCCA certified coaches. Travel and lodging are included unless participants choose the non travel option. Participants will follow the Launch Team 11 week training plan with seasoned runners to train and run alongside them. According to the plan, each team will meet twice each week at an area location and time established by the head coach. In addition, the plan will specify 1-2 additional runs or activities per week outside of the group. Participants select their training location during signup, and can sign up after the start date and volunteer coaches will work to ensure that they are ready for race day.
**NEW** There will not be a 10k option for the Mt Charleston half marathon training cycle but look for our Launch Team 10k summer of 2022!

Just sign up separately and you are good to join us at all the training and you will be given a race entry as well. During training and on race day, you are welcome to run with your youth or at your own pace. This is a great way to get your own training in while spending time with your youth!
The Launch Team was founded to offer youth an opportunity to participate in a challenging yet rewarding experience that sets them on a path towards lifetime health in an encouraging environment with their peers. Athletic ability does not matter. We expect some participants to walk the entire half marathon while others may have already completed other half marathons and are looking to improve their time. The program is open to all levels of participants.
